About Barbie

Empowering students to find joy in discovery and build self-confidence is at the heart of my teaching practice. As a former teacher and a current babysitter, I specialize in helping elementary and middle school students with English/writing, beginner's French, history, and essential study skills. I also am skilled at b-mitzvah prep/Hebrew studies. I assess a child's learning style by adapting my methods--whether through visual aids or discussions--to suit their needs. By connecting complex concepts to their personal interests, encouraging critical thinking, and celebrating every milestone, I keep sessions engaging and productive, with the aim of knowledge retention and self-confidence. I also believe open communication with your family is the foundation of our success. I look forward to supporting your academic journey and helping you reach your full potential.
