I've grown up with rescue dogs my entire life. They've taught me how to be patient and understanding when it comes to dogs being in new surroundings with new people. Dogs have trauma, reactions, and behaviors similar to humans, but just expressed differently. My own dog is reactive (leash/towards other dogs), so I have learned techniques to lessen her fears. She-- along with other dogs that have been around me-- have made me an adaptable dog person who will help your dog feel comfortable and supported while you're not around.
