Hi, my name is Barbara. I had a passion for helping others when I was 10 years old and was helping my family take care of my grandmother and uncle who both were disable. I've seen and learned so much through them that when I graduated from high school I went on and received my CNA. I then went on and worked in nursing homes on and off for 10 years plus. While doing that I went back to school and received a certificate in phlebotomy. As I got older I joined a team working for the state taking care of disable people as a mental retarded specialist which I loved so much. I've done some in home care where I find that I can be more of an assistant to their needs in helping them feel more independent at home rather then in a nursing home.
