Experience: 10 yrs
I have worked with seniors for 20 years. It brings joy to my heart to give loving and caring attention to someone of age or special needs. I have worked with cancer, dementia, arthritis, blindness elders. Also I have worked long-term care and live-in. I have provided a greatness in companionship. I am compassion, reliable and I am also able to make quick decisions without supervision if it needed. I do not mind errands and lite housekeeping. Managing medications and feeding if necessary. I very good in helping the senior with exercising and walking if necessary.
I have known Barbara since 1997, when she first began working for my family. She continued to do so on a regular basis until her recent move with her husband to Charlotte, from New York City in July 2016. Barbara took care of my mother, who had cancer and was in quite a lot of pain from many broken bones. My mother very much wanted to continue to live life to the fullest. She and Barbara were an unstoppable team. Barbara made it possible for her to do so many of things my mother wanted to do. In short, she saw to my mother s every need. Even when my mother was hospitalized on several occasions, Barbara was by her side to ensure that she was well taken care of. As long as Barbara was with my mother, I was at peace. After my mother passed away, Barbara looked after my father, which made it possible for him to remain for three years in the family apartment, and be independent until he died at age 90. Although my father was not ill, he needed assistance with a number of things. Barbara shopped for him, prepared his meals, helped him with laying out clothes and dressing, and encouraged him on a daily basis to go out for a walk with her. Which he always did. Barbara was an outstanding and superb companion. In addition, Barbara has helped me over the years with many projects. For example, when I moved homes, she helped organize and supervise the move. She also helped sort through silver that needed to be distributed and cleaned, as well as many household objects that needed to be given away or sold. Barbara has also worked for a number of neighbors and friends that she met through me over the years. Everyone agrees, Barbara is head and shoulders above everyone else. One of the many traits in Barbara that I value is her judgment it is excellent. She is incredibly smart, anticipates a person s needs, and has a great sense of humor. Anyone who is fortunate to have her in their employ will soon see all of this brought to life. Barbara is an exceptional human being and I am so grateful to have her in my life. If you have any questions at all about Barbara, I would be happy to speak with you.
