About Barbara

I started tutoring 9 years ago. I currently see students for certain subjects and mainly meet students at Hill Road Library or tutor online for $50/hr. I charge extra for travel. Please message me to make sure I cover the subject you are looking for and if needed to get a quote on how much to come to your home or another location As a tutor I: - listen - am patient - am focused on effective communication - adapt to the student's learning style - teach students the concepts they need in class (priority to current concepts to get through class, if given time I'm happy to address the missing/weak concepts the student has) - communicate what changes the student needs to implement (ex: study habits) to become a stronger student - *when given enough time, I teach students how to become independent learners so they can tackle any subject I have taught 6-year-olds how to read their first book as well as helped parents re-enter college to pursue their dream career.
