About Barbara Jean

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. At present, I am a substitute teacher obtaining my master's degree in Special Education. Also, I have been a Spanish teacher, with three years of teaching at a private school. I specialize in teaching Spanish, English, reading, and special education. I believe every student possesses unique strengths so I tailor my approach by observing how students interact with material. Whether text books, hands-on activities, or real-world examples are used, I focus on building student confidence and genuine love for learning. I maintain open communication with parents to ensure we are always working as a collaborative team. Since I have experience with challenging students, I would love to help you navigate difficult concepts through patience and positive reinforcement.
