I have been in the Human Service field for over 20+ years along with my life experiences. Most of my work has been with children and families within the non-profit sector. In 2012 I was employed by Visiting Angles as a companion to seniors. This was one of the most rewarding experience I ever had, but not enough hours. My work consist of light cleaning, meal preparation, laundry, transport to and from medical appointments, taking clients out to shop, medication remainder as well as activities at clients request. Errands and outdoor maintenance ( gardening and light yard cleaning). I believe that seniors have to right to dictate what type of services they are wanting and looking for, with a lot of family engagement. I enjoy playing basketball and bike riding with my 5-year-old grandson (he makes me smile every time I see him). Like to take slow walks. I enjoy sitting with a cup of tea and chatting with my sisters. Prefer some family involvement.
