I have always been passionate about helping people. My grandmother always told me "treat others the way you want to be treated. No matter who I encounter, I always treat them with dignity and respect. I went to college for Adaptive Physical Education and completed my internship working with students with visual and cognitive impairments at Perkins School for the Blind. I loved sharing new experiences with my students, such as playing tennis or snow shoeing through the fields of snow. After my internship, I worked at Massachusetts Hospital School in the Physical Therapy Department. I provided physical therapy treatment as assigned by their physical therapists. Some treatments included transfers, bike riding, standing programs and ambulation programs. I loved every minute of working at MHS and especially what my patents taught me. They taught me to never give up and that anything is possible. I want to continue my work as a very special caregiver.
