I have worked with seniors much of my life. From October 1986 through October 2008, I owned and operated a successful health club with my husband. I was a senior adviser for the health care program. I designed and implemented fitness classes for seniors and worked with members who had Alzheimer's. I moved to Ohio in 2015 and have been doing care giving ever since. It is my calling! I have done in home hospice, and early, and mid-stage Alzheimer's care. I just recently finished a two year position where I was a house manager/personal assistant in addition to head caregiver for a lovely woman. I have experience with catheters, feeding tubes, cancer treatments, pain management, stroke rehab, Parkinson's, and wound care. I can bring a whole team of experienced caregivers with me to lighten your load. I believe that seniors have wisdom that only time can produce, and I have always felt honored to be a part of their care.

Barbara and her assistant provided 24-hour care for my 93-year-old mother during the final months of her life, and they were truly angels. They were always on time, compassionate, and completely reliable. They treated my mother with dignity, patience, and genuine kindness. My mother loved them, and they became like family to us. I truly believe there is another family who needs this wonderful woman and the loving care she provides.

During one of the most challenging times in our lives, we were incredibly fortunate to have Barbara as a member of the team to care for my mother in the final months of her life. From the very beginning, she demonstrated not only deep professional knowledge and skill, but also an extraordinary level of compassion and emotional intelligence.
Barbara consistently treated my mother with dignity, patience, and kindness. She took the time to understand her needs—both physical and emotional—and always approached her care with a gentle and respectful demeanor. Whether it was managing medications, helping with daily routines, or simply offering comfort through conversation or presence, Barbara did it all with quiet grace and unwavering dedication.
Our family was also deeply grateful for the way Barbara communicated with us—clearly, calmly, and honestly. We always felt informed and supported. She became not just a caregiver, but a source of strength and a member of our family.
Words can never fully express our gratitude for the peace and comfort Barbara brought to our home. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family seeking a compassionate and capable caregiver for their loved one.


Barbara was an incredible blessing for our family in providing care for our elderly parents. She was invaluable in allowing our parents to stay in their own home. Barbara has all the qualities you would want in someone caring for your loved ones. She is kind, patient, organized, knowledgeable, flexible, extremely reliable and a great communicator. Both of our parents have complicated medical issues and Barbara was knowledgeable in her understanding of many of the issues they were dealing with. She learned quickly special medical needs she was not  familiar with. Barbara went above and beyond for our family on many occasions, including helping us cover shifts at the hospital over the hours she normally worked when my parents were in the hospital so that they were never alone. She was also so thoughtful in renting some of their favorite movies from the library and bringing them games they enjoyed to keep them engaged and active during the day. We are forever grateful for the exceptional care and kindness she provided our family. We highly recommend her and would hire her again in a heartbeat. She truly has a passion for caring for people.

Barbara was timely and gave us adequate notice in advance if she had a scheduling conflict.  My mother was very "set in her way of doing things". Barbara respected my mother's wishes and worked with mom to achieve daily goals (shower, washing hair, personal hygiene, etc.).  My mother could no longer read the newspaper, so Barbara read it to her.  Barbara also read her books from favorite authors.  When there was down time (Mom was tired and wasn't up to activities) Barbara would clean or do laundry.  Barbara communicated well with the family.  She would identify grocery and personal hygiene items needed so family off site could keep supplies coming. As stated previously, most other caregivers we tried were barely adequate.  Barbara B was way more than that--she gave my mother the highest quality individualized care in the last few years of Mom's life. I give Barbara B my highest  recommendation as a care giver.  -Bill G.

Sadly, our family had to say goodbye to our beautiful mother but we will be forever grateful to her caregiver Barbara B. We had a few caregivers before Barbara but none met our expectations. My mother was 101 years old and needed assistance in order to continue to live in her patio home in her retirement community. Barbara was very flexible with us working the hours we needed to cover mom's needs. Barbara professionally took care of mom's needs such as meals, medication, hygiene and environment but equally important she became a wonderful companion to mom. I would highly recommend Barbara B. Barbara cared for my grandmother for almost 2 years until her passing in February 2021. My grandmother lived to be 101 and I believe it was because of the wonderful care that Barbara gave! My grandmother wished to stay in her own house and with Barbara's assistance we were able to make that happen. She was on time, took care of light house chores and hygiene for my grandmother. Most of all Barbara was a dear companion to my grandmother. She read the newspaper to her, they went on walks and talked about life! Barbara was a blessing for us!  I could not ask for a more caring, loving, level-headed individual to care for our loved one.  She worked with our friend with early onset Alzheimer's for the past almost 3 years.  We relied upon her for so much.  She has a calm demeanor and always has the best interests of her patient in mind.  You would be lucky to have her as a caregiver!!

Barbara is amazing. She is loving, gentle and kind and the attention and care she gives shows her genuine feelings toward those she serves. My 97 year old Mother was failing fairly quickly with a diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer, but her mind was active and sharp. Barbara was wonderful in her conversations with her, reading to her, praying with her and sometimes even singing to her while taking care of her physical needs - feeding, bathing and dressing.

In the last couple weeks when hospice was called in, I truly did not need Barbara's services as hospice would have provided more help, but my husband and I knew we wanted Barbara to stay to the end - no matter the extra cost. Thank you, Barbara - you were truly sent into our lives just when we needed you!

Awesome! She is super helpful & a hard working individual. There is a lot of work to do rehabbing a stroke patient & Barbara's compassion & can do attitude helps tremendously. She is very organized, friendly, pleasant and a pleasure to have in my home & to work with.
