About Barbara

I'd describe my personality as sweet and fun. I like to talk about many different subjects, just sitting somewhere pretty to enjoy, or going sightseeing. I like caring for seniors because they have a gentleness and sweetness that brings out my protective instincts. I also love dogs, cats and birds, and even had a young lion once! I enjoy hearing stories about other's lives - their lives and families, travels and passions. I started caring for seniors when I took care of my grandmother as a teenager. In 1999 I took both of my parents into my home and cared for them until they passed at 92 and 99. In my spare time, I like to write poetry, decorate and bake, and play with my chihuahua. One thing you should know about me is I was raised by the great generation and I'm extremely respectful and kind. I've traveled the world and as a little girl lived in the south pacific, free to paddle my canoe in the lagoon. There I leaned a little about French and Chinese cuisine.
