About Barbara

Hi, my name is Barb. I spent 39 years teaching English at Judkins Middle School in Pismo Beach. I love kids because they are so curious and so full of life. I was raised as the middle child of seven kids so I am used to being around lots of people. I raised two children of my own and I have a 5-year-old granddaughter who is my pride and joy. Being with my granddaughter, is just the best. She is moving to the East Coast because her Dad got an excellent job. I will miss my granddaughter very much. I would like to spread my love and joy to your family. I am very active that's why my mornings are reserved for tennis, hiking and Pilates. I am very flexible and I consider myself a good communicator. If I can help your family out, I would love to assist you. My top three child care skills are mirror my teaching philosophy- empower children to be stronger, kinder and more confident by providing stability, love and sincere interest.
