About Aya

Hi there, my name is Aya and I am currently a student at the City College of New York! I am studying history with a minor in fine arts. I have been working in childcare professionally since 2020 when I became an Americorps teaching assistant at a middle school in East Harlem. I have worked consistently for several families including a summer live in nanny position for an infant and 5-year-old in CT. I'm CPR certified, have taken courses in childhood development and been trained in behavioral management. What is most is important to me is that your child is safe and happy! I love doing seasonal crafts, pretend play, and spending time outside. I have worked with a wide range of children in many environments and am ready to work with you on any challenges your child may come to. In my personal time I love to cook and make art! My future plans include getting my New York teaching certification and working as an art teacher for elementary school students.
