About Avery

Hi! I'm Avery, a college student at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Pediatric Counseling. I've been babysitting since high school and have five credits in early childhood education. Additionally, I completed an independent study focused on teaching high school students how to work with young children. I've volunteered over 60 hours in preschools and elementary schools. This past summer, I worked at a daycare caring for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, gaining hands-on experience with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I've also worked in after-school programs and summer camps, leading activities, supervising children ages 4-11, and supporting their academic and social development. I'm CPR and pediatric first aid certified, creative, dependable, and passionate about helping kids grow in a safe and engaging environment. I'm currently available in the Columbia area and looking forward to connecting!
