About Avery

Since I could start working I loved choosing the jobs that gave me time with kids. I first started babysitting at 13 and then as a summer job before college I was a swim instructor for Aqua-Tots Swim Schools. During this job I was able to excel and become a Master Instructor. When I came to college I started my work study job at Irish Elementary School in a special needs preschool classroom. I worked there for roughly two years and during that time accepted another job as a Nanny during the school year. I have been working as a nanny for a year now and am still employed to care for three kids (4, 11, and 14) during the school year. Currently, I am finishing up my Junior year at CSU in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. I hope to work in an elementary school once I graduate! Some of the classes I've taken include Family and Parenthood, Infant/Child Development, Creative Experiences for Children, and Individual/Family Development.
