About Avery

As a 22-year-old recent college grad in Psychology, I found my passion for working with kids while in the classroom. I studied early childhood education and development in school, and worked at an after school program focused on social and emotional learning with trauma management and behavioral therapy. I led a classroom of 10 8-year-olds, using play to implement life skills. Who knew that freeze tag could be a method to implement boundary setting, and slime making can be a fantastic lesson on when to ask for help?! I am patient and energetic, always leaving room for exploration and curiosity when playing or watching. I am dependable and well time-managed, making sure your kids are safe and comfortable in my care. I also used to be a cook at a local winery, if dinner needs to be served, it will!
