About Ava

Hi there! My name is Ava, and I'm a college student majoring in Education with a passion for helping children learn, grow, and feel confident in themselves. I've spent over two years working with kids-from preschoolers to eighth graders-as a kindergarten teacher assistant and private tutor. I'm DCF certified and trained in child growth, health and safety, and positive guidance. I love creating fun, structured activities that mix learning and play, whether it's phonics games, creative writing, or hands-on projects. Families describe me as patient, reliable, and genuinely nurturing. I aim to provide a calm, safe environment where children can express themselves and build confidence through learning. Outside of work, I'm a proud cat mom of three and very comfortable in homes with pets. Whether helping with homework, after-school care, or keeping kids engaged and smiling, I bring creativity, responsibility, and heart to everything I do.
