About Ava

I've been tutoring English literature for about five months, working closely with an amazing 9-year-old student and supporting his reading, comprehension, and writing skills. Throughout high school, I participated in K-12 and early childhood education programs, where I gained hands-on experience working with younger learners and understanding different learning styles. My academic interests also included general biology and healthcare, which strengthened my ability to explain complex topics in clear, age-appropriate ways. I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence, improve their academic performance, and discover that learning can be both engaging and enjoyable. I also focus on teaching effective study strategies that students can carry with them into future classes and exams.
