About Ava

I am a senior at UC Santa Barbara with over 8 years of childcare experience. For the past 3 years, I've worked as a preschool teaching assistant, where I've supported children's social, emotional, and academic growth through play-based learning. My background also includes leading Pre-K-2nd grade groups at summer camp for 5 summers, coaching gymnastics for 3 years with a strong focus on safety and confidence-building, and interning in speech pathology, where I gained valuable insight into language development. I'm patient, creative, and organized, and I love balancing the needs of infants, toddlers, and young learners-whether that means soothing naps, keeping routines consistent, or planning engaging activities that help kids learn and grow. Families can count on me to provide a safe, nurturing environment and open communication. My schedule is flexible, with full availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays and additional openings on other days.
