About Ava

Hello! I've been helping take care of kids in my community since I was basically a kid myself, and it's shaped me so much over the past 7 years. I've been lucky to work with kids from infancy through age 13, including children with special needs. I'm also proficient in American Sign Language. Alongside caregiving, I'm a working artist and a student at the Maryland Institute College of Art, studying fiber arts and furniture design. My creative life has always inspired my style of caregiving; I love planning hands-on, imaginative activities that encourage kids to express themselves and be curious! Most of all, I'm dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where kids feel confident and comfortable!
