About Ava

Hello Bham families!!! I'm Ava, a second-year student at Western. I'm pursuing an interdisciplinary degree in Psychology, Sociology, and English. With 6 years of paid pet experience and 9 years of owning rescues, I am equipped to care for (and inevitably love) any one of your pets! I grew up outside of Seattle with Ruby, a miniature pinscher fox terrier mix, and Rusty, a Doberman bloodhound mix. It's been absolute torture being away from them. Fortunately, I'm able to live with, and care for my roommate's 8-week-old chihuahua. As you can see, I do everything in my power to surround myself with animals, specifically dogs. I have 6 years of childcare experience as well! The families I've worked for would describe me as an incredibly patient and compassionate individual. I have experience caring for children from ages 2 to 10 years old. I love doing outdoor and nature-related activities with the kids I work with!
