About Ava

Hi! My name is Ava , and I am a Kindergarten teacher in the Bridgewater, NJ area currently finishing up my second year teaching. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I specialize in early literacy instruction, including phonics, phonemic awareness, early reading skills, handwriting, spelling, and foundational writing development. I use a structured, engaging, and supportive teaching approach tailored to each child's individual needs and learning style. I also support students with foundational math skills and Kindergarten readiness. I have experience working with students in whole-class, small group, and one-on-one settings and strive to create a positive environment where students build both confidence and academic skills.
