About Ava

I've been babysitting since high school and have always loved working with kids. I recently volunteered with Reading Allies at the University of Alabama, helping children with reading and writing. Before that, I was a lifeguard at the Rose Schneider YMCA from 2018 to 2022, where I looked after kids of all ages. I've babysat children ages 3 to 12 and am happy to cook, clean, and help with homework or household tasks. I also have experience with both cats and dogs and would be happy to care for either. Most recently, I worked as a pool server at Allegheny Country Club. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, reading, and spending time with family/friends. I'm also passionate about digital marketing and branding. I love working with kids because I believe the words and actions we show them matter while they're growing. I'm especially good at helping kids regulate their emotions and feel supported. Being around children makes me genuinely happy, and I love being someone they can count on.
