About Ava

Hi! My name is Ava, and I have been helping care for kids for as long as I can remember. I genuinely love spending time with children and creating a fun, safe, and positive environment for them. I'm very hands-on and enjoy playing games, keeping kids entertained, and helping them stay active and engaged instead of just sitting in front of screens. I have experience helping with siblings close in age, including handling the challenges that can come with a 3-year age gap. I'm patient, understanding, and very reasonable with kids, but I also know when it's important to be firm and set boundaries. I believe structure and kindness go hand in hand. I've also volunteered helping with children at The King's Church during their Good Friday service, which gave me experience working with groups of kids in a busy environment. Families I've helped still keep in touch with me, and their kids continue to love seeing me.
