About Ava

My experience caring for seniors are very challenging but I love what I do, they become a part of me. I picked this field because everybody needs and gets lonely at times. I truly can relate. I'm a mother of nine and I never thought for a second that I would be a lonely young woman; but in life there comes a time when we all grow up and have our own family. It's not that our family don't love us, it's because they're being transition in to they're own norm. I've experience good and bad times taking care of seniors. My good times are when we talk about their past history, and when I groom them, I love to make them smell and look like somebody. It makes them feel worth living. Also when preparing meals, we learn each others recipe. The bad part is the Alzheimer's patient, it hurts me to see them not knowing who, or what to do after so much fun we have done with one another. I learned in my years of experiences that we all are a child twice, rather its through Alzheimer's or other ways. I've also learned how to redirect them; and you got to have patience. Other than that, I want complain my job as an experience on how I may be or one of my love ones, I know I would want to be loved and respected.
