About Ava

Hi my name is Ava, and i'm a nursing student with several years of experience caring for people of all ages. I worked in the ymca before and after school program/summer camps for four years and have been babysitting for about four years. I currently work as a CNA at Childrens Mercy Hospital where I care for infants, young children, and teens in a pediatric hospital setting. Before Childrens Mercy I worked in the adult Float Pool at KU Medical Center, where I cared for adults and older adults with a variety of needs, including patients with dementia and other behavioral needs. Being able to work in adult and pediatric healthcare has made me comfortable to care for people of all ages. I am adult, pediatric, and infant CPR certified. I genuinely enjoy caring for others, which is why I have chosen nursing as a career. I am looking for part-time caregiver opportunities during the weekdays that work with my nursing school schedule.
