About Ava

As a TA at MTW's afterschool program, I find my connections with children I care for to be a source of joy and fulfillment. With three years of experience supporting families with children from ages 4 to 11, I pride myself on being a patient, creative, and approachable caregiver. Due to DOE childcare requirements, I've completed Early Child Development coursework. I like to engage the children I work with through book reading, games, puzzles, and outdoor physical activities. I am also comfortable with swimming supervision, meal preparation, housekeeping, and crafts. I maintain open communication and I am comfortable enforcing household rules in an emotionally intelligent manner. I am fluent in Spanish, which allows me to offer bilingual support during our play sessions. I am eager to provide a reliable, calm environment where your children feel supported and inspired every single day. I'm a college student with a background in advanced music and painting programs and athletics.
