About Ava

Hi! My name is Ava , and I've been working with kids in various roles for several years now - and I truly love it. I started as a camp counselor for children ages 5-12, where I gained hands on experience leading activities, keeping kids engaged, and creating a safe, fun environment. Since college, I've nannied on and off for families with up to three kids. Currently, I oversee the education program and teachers at a nature conservatory. I graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in political science and communications, I'm currently saving up to pursue my masters in education. Working with kids has confirmed that teaching and supporting young learners is what I'm meant to do. I'm patient, creative, and reliable-and I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, whether it's helping with homework, playing outside, or winding down with story time. I'd love to be a positive, dependable presence in your child's life and support your family however I can!
