About Ava

Hi! I'm Ava, a Los Angeles-based artist and lifelong learner with years of experience working with children and young adults of all ages and needs, from toddlers to teenagers to supporting a young adult with special needs. I hold a BA in Global Studies (Human Rights & Social Justice) with a Music minor from Colby College and attended an all-girls preparatory high school in D. C. Throughout my work with kids, academic support has always been part of the picture: homework help, test prep, and breaking down material in ways that actually click. I take a genuinely individualistic approach because every student learns differently. I'm energetic and personable, but also analytical and detail-oriented. I love building study frameworks and lesson plans tailored to each person. As a singer-songwriter, I bring creativity and lateral thinking to everything I do, including how I help students engage with material.
