About Ava

I have hands-on experience providing compassionate care to elderly individuals with complex needs, including those living with dementia and recovering from stroke. In this role, I supported daily living activities such as mobility assistance, medication reminders, personal care, and meal preparation, while also prioritizing safety, dignity, and emotional well-being. I worked closely with individuals experiencing cognitive decline, using patience, clear communication, and routine to reduce confusion and anxiety. Supporting stroke survivors required attentiveness to physical limitations and rehabilitation goals, as well as adaptability as needs evolved. This experience strengthened my empathy, reliability, and ability to provide person-centered care in challenging situations.
