About Autumn

I have been babysitting for over 10 years. I have experience working with special needs children, including nonverbal autistic kids. I spent years caring for my siblings who are diagnosed with autism, and then spent six months working as a paraprofessional for a severe developmental needs room at an elementary school. I have a lot of empathy, patience, creativity and flexibility that helps me a lot when I work with children. I like to have fun, to engage and play. I take a very active role with children as at my old role a lot of what we did was play therapy/social skills practice. I am first aid, CPR, and AED trained from infants to adults by the American Heart Association. I currently work around children at a middle school in the cafeteria. In my spare time, I like to read, hike, draw, sing, swim, dance! I'm an artist at heart.
