About Aura

I've been working with children for over a decade, supporting parents with childcare from infancy to adolescence. I'm creative, energetic and present. I have experience navigating behavioral challenges and packed schedules. I prioritize children's emotional, psychological and physical well being, and have a sharp eye for potential hazards around young children. I encourage kids to have fun and explore their worlds, while cultivating consideration for others and themselves. I was raised in Switzerland but have lived in NYC for 10 years. I studied anthropology and fine arts, and speak five languages fluently. I try to be well informed on culture, science, nature, and the arts. My hobbies include rock climbing, cooking, drawing and playing guitar. I am a certified volunteer in the Bronx as a court appointed special advocate, representing children as they navigate the child welfare system. I live near Prospect Park, and have a 2-year-old rescue scruffy poodle mix named Cosmo.
