About Elena

I have babysat for 5 years with families in Texas. I've taken care of children from a few months to preteens. I have first aid and CPR training for infant, child, and adult. I do not have a car, but am very able to travel by bus. For the past 3 summers, I have worked at two different summer camps, each one providing me with more experience working with children. I have worked at a camp where I was the counselor for preschool aged kids, and had a blast playing, crafting, and taking care of them. When I worked as a counselor for another camp; I was able to work with elementary aged kids, and had fun teaching them to sing, dance and act, as I have always had fun doing those things! At the same camp, I have worked with special needs children and strove to successfully integrate them into the activities of their peers so that their disabilities would not limit them. I specialize in fun, and cater to the needs of the family I am babysitting for. I am a homework helper, can dribble the basketball pretty well. I'd prefer to have fun, creative interactions with kids than sitting them in front of the television. Though I can be a playful babysitter, I know kids can be a little mischievous, and my disapproving look does wonders! I am available on week nights and weekends - message me and I will get back to you within an hour or so! A little about me: I am majoring in Vocal Performance. I am a huge animal lover and volunteer in the animal shelter, and love outdoor activities as well. I know that every child has an natural creative ability and curiosity in this world, and nothing pleases me more than to nurture that with games, sports, music, or just being plain silly!
