About Audrey

I've been babysitting since I was 11 - I had my American Girl Doll handbook, complete with sheets for emergency and allergies. I absolutely loved it. I've worked one on one with families, helped in Sunday schools, and been an assistant teacher at a Montessori School in Charleston. Before moving to Asheville, I was with the same family for two years, and got to watch their first child grow in so many ways, which was an incredible experience. I find I relate easily with children, and have been working on baby sign language to build communication as early and naturally as possible. There's a good balance between being "in charge" and also being fun and goofy, which I'm comfortable and quick to establish. I'm also a huge fan of arts and crafts, and I believe in making a mess and in the teachable moments of cleaning them up (both in art and life). There is such a beauty in watching a child grow into their own person and I appreciate any way I am able to be a part of that.
