About Audrey

My name is Audrey, and I'm a recent graduate of the Cooper Union School of Art. I'm looking to nanny because I absolutely love spending time with kids, and my experience teaching art has given me a lot of tools for helping kids connect to the world, themselves, and their peers. Most recently, I taught a full-year oil painting course in an outreach program at my school, in which I developed a syllabus that included a lot of engagement with art history and field trips to many NYC art institutions with my 20+ students. I most enjoyed helping students who were stuck, bored, distracted, or discouraged come back to engaging with their work and feel more confident. In addition to this experience with kids I assisted a teacher in a drawing program for several summers, and babysat in high school. I am probably most well-suited to working with kids who are curious about art, but I truly love working with kids who have any uncommon interests or love to explore.
