About Audrey

I started tutoring when I was in high school providing peer to peer support. In college, I taught credit-bearing semester long classes to high school students. I have been working for the Office of Family and Community Engagement in Hanover in their elementary school before/afterschool program where I manage enrichment programs. I like tutoring because it provides students an opportunity to learn outside of a traditional classroom setting. It is gratifying to be a small part of a student's educational journey. I like to take a holistic approach when working with students. In my experience, the best way to support a student in learning is to make sure they feel understood. If they don't feel they are in a comfortable, welcoming environment they are not going to feel safe to express when they need help. My skills include designing a flexible learning plan that addresses the students strengths and areas for growth, connecting with students, and coming up with engaging activities.
