Hello, my name is Audrey! I love working with people with special needs and would like to continue to do so throughout my life. In the last few years I've worked a number of jobs with special needs kiddos. My first was driving a mostly nonverbal autistic son to school 1-2 times a week as well as occasionally helping with whole-family outings. My second was caretaking for a young woman with Down's syndrome for about a year, helping with hygiene, activities, online school, and meals. I also volunteered at a week long family J&F camp working with a teen girl with both mental and physical disabilities. Although challenging, I was very grateful for the opportunity to care for her and her family at camp. I then did a weekend adult retreat with J&F and was partnered with a young woman with Downs. After these experiences, I'm comfortable with most disabilities and would love the chance to serve more people in that sphere.
