Hello, My name is Audrey and I would be honored to be considered to help care for your senior. I have experience working with adults with dementia and advanced Alzheimer's disease, cancer care and companionship. I am college-educated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, a Minor in Fine Arts, and graduate coursework towards dual Master's degrees in Education (subset Special Education) and Literature. I have also been a 4th grade teacher in a mixed levels classroom at a private school, a middle school math teacher, a tutor and teacher's aide working with students from pre-school through undergraduate programs. I greatly enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, knitting , painting and drawing, and care for the sheep, goats and poultry on my small farm. I had the opportunity to meet Audrey when she was recently caring for my 100-year-old great aunt, who everyone calls Nana. I immediately liked Audrey as soon as we met. She has a very calming presence and is a friendly, genuine person. I was able to visit with Audrey on numerous occasions when I stopped by Nana's house. I was able to witness how comfortable Nana was with her. It was like they were old friends. Audrey is a wonderful cook and Nana's house had never been cleaner! I have interviewed dozens of caregivers over the years for my parents. Audrey is one of the best by a mile!!! I wish she lived near me so that I could hire her for my parents.
