Hello :)! My name is Atikatu. I've been caring for kids since 2008, with three years of professional childcare experience and over 13 years of general experience. My childcare journey began with taking care of my sister's newborns, followed by my brother's twins, tutoring kids, and working as a camp counselor. Caring for kids is second nature to me, I love it. Taking care of kids from all different ages has taught me how to be patient, creative, and friendly while also enforcing household rules. I am comfortable caring for up to five children between the ages of 0 and 11. I love finding fun ways to engage with them. I'm CPR-trained and always keep parents informed about their child's day through regular updates and preferred communication methods. I'm also happy to help with cooking, meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, and supervising swimming. Although I'm new to Care. com, I'm not new to taking care of kids. I worked with Atikatu at a military event in DC taking care of children from 19 months to 14 years old. She was very good with the children. I will be working with her at another event in the near future.
