Hello Friend! :) My name is Athena. I am 31 years old and I currently reside in Martinez, where I am a live-in caregiver for my darling 83-year-old grandmother. I am seeking a dog-walker/sitter position to fill my mornings Monday-Friday. I feel very confident in my experience and ability to handle any type of dog or cat lovingly and responsibly. I have my own little girl Annie, an Australian Blue Heeler, who chose me, was trained by me, and is very sweet and well behaved. (when she is not testing her limits;) I am an extremely passionate, patient, open and honest individual. That which is most important, and nearest and dearest to my heart are my family and friends, children and animals, music, good food, being creative, giving back to the community, and anything outdoors. Ever since I was a baby I always had at least one cat and one dog, and if you ask me a home isn't a home without animals! I have worked as professional nanny/caregiver/dog-walker-sitter for over 10 years. In that time I have cared for children and animals in four different families, all of which had dogs cats or both. And all of which I am still close with to this day. In each position daily responsibilities included feeding, walking , waste clean-up, hikes or trips to the dog park, as well as administering medication, the occasional vet or grooming visits, and overnight care whenever the families were away.
