Hi, I'm Assata "Mari" Abayomi! I'm a trauma-informed caregiver and educator with nearly two decades of experience supporting children and families, with a strong focus on special needs care, including children with autism, developmental delays, and emotional or behavioral challenges. Families often describe me as warm, grounded, and reliable. I communicate clearly, respect household values, and take my role seriously while still bringing genuine care and heart into what I do. I started working with kids nearly 20 years ago as a teacher's assistant in a NAEYC child development center. In my spare time, I like to relax with my family (I'm a mom to two, a 11-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy on the spectrum). I also enjoy music, pottery, and horseback riding. My skills include special needs informed care, infant care, experience with multiples. I'd love to connect with your family!
