Working in housekeeping at a senior living healthcare facility has given me the opportunity to make a real difference in people's daily lives. I was responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for elderly residents, many of whom required specialized care and attention. My duties included cleaning resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and kitchens, as well as handling laundry services and ensuring infection control protocols were followed to protect the health and safety of both residents and staff. This experience taught me more than just cleaning techniques it taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of dignity in care. I often built positive relationships with residents, learning to communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals from different backgrounds and with varying levels of physical and cognitive ability.
