My name is Ashley & I'd love to work with your family & provide a rich learning experience for your child/children. I'm a parent of 2 boys & I bring 25+ yrs of professional & personal experience caring 4 children of all ages & dvlpmt stages. I have experience working with preemies & twins. I graduated from UCD, obtained my MA in Early EDU & worked in Peds as a CCLS for ~ 8 yrs. My philosophy in working w/ children is to provide a safe, fun, & + learning envrmt using various modes of expression. I believe play is the language of children & I support the process over a product. I value asking open ended ?'s & using I statements. I scaffold learning by encouraging children to try for themselves B4 doing it 4 them. I currently work as a sub paraeducator, a sub preschool tchr & w/ 2 families on Care. I'm infant/child/adult CPR, AED & 1st Aid certified. I have transportation, I'm fully vaccinated, & a non-smoker. I also enjoy cleaning, organizing & helping around the house.

Ashley recently began working with our family on an occasional basis and she's been wonderful. We have a 3 and 6 year old, and our oldest is AuDHD (likely also PDA), so it was important for us to find a caregiver that understood the nuances of raising neurodivergent kiddos while also being kind, respectful, and compassionate, especially around challenging behavior. Ashley is all of these things! She brings her own experience as a parent of an ND kiddo, as well as her academic training and years working with young children. She is thoughtful, communicative, engaged, proactive. She brings fun and educational activities for the kids that they've really enjoyed and she finds ways to be supportive around my child's school work and tidying up around the house. She's also very reliable. I highly recommend!
