About Ashley

I help teach every Tuesday at Jefferson County Elementary School. I have taken courses and had field experience teaching elementary students. I am well versed in Common Core State Standards and I build lessons plans from them. I also use thematic units which integrate other standards in one lesson. I also integrate technology as well as arts. The reason I should be considered for employment is that with Common Core, it's so new that some tutors don't know how to teach it and your child might fall behind. I have already passed my PRAXIS and received my teacher education card. If you are a parent of a third grader I can especially help if they are struggling in reading. However if they are still struggling by the end of their third grade year and don't pass the third grade test, they will have to repeat it. That's why choosing me would be ideal because I have had training. I am well versed in Common Core, and I have experience in implementing it. I may not have paid experience but I have 4 years of college curriculum that is built around teaching a child and 2 years of experience actually in an elementary school environment.
