About Ashley

Hello, I'm Ashley and a Psychology student at Cal State Monterey Bay. I have done baby sitting off and on since I was 12 with family mostly. Though most of my babysitting experience is through family, I did work as a behavioral technician for children with Autism for 6 months. My time there was short due to scheduling but I am still on good terms with the company I worked with. From this position I learned valuable skills in conflict management with children, how to defuse emotional situations, and how to improve positive behaviors with reinforcement. I've spent a lot of time with kids and am able to be patient with them, I also am good at validating their emotions and helping them work through their feelings. Because of this I feel I can create a comfortable and safe environment for any children I may be looking after.
