I am the eldest out of the children on both sides of my family. I have a 15-year-old sister, a 9-year-old brother and a 4-year-old younger sister. I have plenty of experience with babysitting due to the fact that there is many younger children in my family. I used to work at a daycare and I was a summer camp counselor for children ages 5 to 11 for the past three years. Having a job like that allows you to let your inner child out and also develop a great bond with each and every child. I feel children need to know that you understand them, but that you are an authority figure. I have always been around children, so I really am great with all types of ages. I have also babysat for family friends and neighbors. I have nanny experience and I have provided dinner for the children and made sure they were in bed on time, while also making sure the house was picked up. I consider myself a people person and I find it much easier to be friendly rather than have a bad attitude. My family has taught me a lot about being kind-hearted and caring. I want to pursue a career that involves children because nothing really compares to developing that bond with a child who truly looks up to you.

It is only with great sorrow that I write this review, and only because Ashley deserves to find a great family back home. That said, I'm not happy to be helping her find a new job, when she is such a good fit with her family. I wish she was staying in California, but she's such a great family person, she misses her own family and young siblings too much to stay out here. She's leaving us at the end of this month, and I've been pretending it wasn't going to happen. She has been an asset to our lives, and has become part of our family. Our three boys love her, and she loves them. She is not afraid to hold them accountable and makes sure all homework is done, and they are delivered to where they need to be. She is extremely flexible with last minute practice changes, or if I forget something, she picks up the slack. She also is game to take the boys out to dinner or on a fun outing. She even came up with a behavior incentive plan to motivate my boys to stay respectful, well mannered, and follow directions. She is exactly what I was looking for, and I selfishly hope she stays here.
