Hi, my name is Ashley and I have been working in childcare for 12 years. I started out caring for the kids in my big family and knew that was the career I wanted to ve in. I began working in a private preschool in Manhattan working with infants and on the side would do date night sitting for many of my students. I decided to go college and pursue my degree in childhood education so I began to work as a part time nanny. With my degree in hand, I went back to working at a Private Preschool as a teacher and loved every minute of it. Working with young children allowed me to be so creative. I eventually felt I needed a change with the age range and for 3. 5 years worked as an assistant teacher with special needs children in elementary and middle school. For the last 3 years I have been nannying again and I feel it is where I thrive most

I cannot recommend Ashley more highly. She looked after my daughter for over a year from 2-3yo. She is extremely generous, playful, attentive. She's so creative and always had fun and educational activities and crafts planned. She was a valuable resource for classes and educational opportunities around the city, and often went above and beyond to take my daughter to soccer, art and dance classes. Most of all, my daughter lights up every time Ashley is near and even when her name is mentioned. She is communicative and knowledgeable, having worked in early education for many years. She gently gave us advice when we asked for it and also listened and acknowledged whenever we wanted things done a certain way. She really became part of our family.
