About Ashley

I come from a family of 10 children and I am the second eldest. I grew up in a busy household and recognized early that I wanted to make a career out of working with children professionally. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in honors psychology and neuroscience taking courses in lifespan psychology and early child development. I also worked in a child development lab at the University of Tennessee obtaining a paid internship and paid position researching cognitive functioning in developing children. I am now pursuing a doctorate in occupational therapy with my focus being pediatrics and started my doctorate in August 2022 at Rutgers School of Health Professions. I have volunteered as a camp counselor and worked with ages 0 to 18 and have experience in special needs tutoring as well as collegiate-level tutoring. Children are a joy to work with. They need someone to look to for advice, for mentoring, for instructing, and most importantly for nurturing.
