About Ashley

I began my babysitting experience at age 16. I cared for my younger brother (age 12) for two years while my father worked third shift. From that point on, I began other various babysitting jobs. I cared for my cousins (infant & age 5) for one summer in 2004. I also cared for two young boys (age 6 & age 10) for a summer job in 2005. During my high school years I did many after school tutoring jobs for 10 and 11-year-old children. After high school, I began my college education at UW-Platteville majoring in Elementary Education. Through many of my classes I had to go to various school districts and work with children in grades K-5. I transferred to UW-Milwaukee in Fall 2009 and switched my major to Social Work with an emphasis on child welfare. During the Fall 2009 and Fall 2010 semesters, I volunteered at Our Next Generation Inc. helping care for children ages 6-9 in their after school program. I led various activities, such as reading circles, recess, and homework groups. In 2011 I began nannying for a family in the Whitefish Bay area for two children. I'm presently working for them until the job ends at the end of the summer when the youngest starts attending school.
