About Ashley

Hi families! Shortly after graduating with my BA in Criminal Justice I realized that my true passion was in teaching and childcare. I got started babysitting when I was just a teenager and then went on to become a full-time nanny for the K family throughout college. After graduation I spent two years doing a nanny-share for the L and B families. It was during these years that I really became passionate about furthering my knowledge of child care, development and teaching methods. I have read many books and taken classes for CDA Certificate. In addition to education, I have 8 years of professional experience caring for children of all ages. I enjoy doing play-based learning activities, reading with children, getting outside, making art and more. Most recently, I cared for 3 children full-time, ages 3, 6, and 8. I also acted as a household assistant- helping with grocery shopping, meal planning and prep, organizing projects, light tiding and more.
