Hi, I'm Ashley and In May 2020, I graduated with a Master of Arts in English, concentration in literature from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). This academic achievement, my excellent track record as a Graduate Teaching Fellow and my commitment to teamwork and my current job as a High School English Teacher make me the ideal candidate for this position I am so grateful to have worked with kids in 90% of my job experiences caused it helped me to find my passion for teaching. From being a sports camp counselor to sports campsite supervisor to Americorps after school program tutor, my four-plus years of experience in childcare had been stimulating and fruitful. I've worked with ages from K-12 and love making genuine positive connections with children from all different backgrounds. I am CPR, First Aid certified, and have my own transportation. Ashley allowed us the pleasure of having her as our regular evening babysitter for almost a year. She is a wonderful person and our then eight year old boy adored her. Ashley was "always" punctual and "always" arrived with a cheery attitude. When her schedule did not fit with ours she let us know well in advance. It is incredibly difficult to trust someone with your child and we can not thank Ashley enough for being there for us.
